Thursday, May 14th:
Today our big adventure started. This morning I picked up Jack and then we went on the road to our first destination: Hotel Garni zum Dom in Kleinbittersdorf in Germany, near the French border.
The first part of the route was most highway (A2), but across the border at Maastricht the landscape becomes more mountainous and more beautiful.
In Luxembourg, we of course stopped at Hostellerie du Nord , famous for their delicious sandwiches.
In Luxembourg, we had to deviate from the route , as there was a road closed.
In Muhlertal, also known as Small Zwitzerland, in Luxembourg we stopped to view the beautiful rock formations.
Our hotel had a nice , spacious room with a balcony where we could hang out our clothes
The room had a separate entrance outside.
Just before our destination, things almost went wrong, an oncoming motorist needed more then one lane.
